My name is Lynn Huggins-Cooper. I had my first book published in 1997, and have been published every year ever since. I cannot describe the feeling that first time I went into Waterstones and saw my books on the shelves! The great thing is, even nearly twenty years later, that feeling is just as sweet.
The four year old ‘me’ who won a BBC Radio Brighton writing competition in 1968 (with a poem about foxes, no less) gets excited every time a new book is born.
Over the years, as well as writing books, I have written for newspapers, magazines, websites and comics. I have been a features writer for the Times Ed, The Journal and Green Parent Magazine.
I am a qualified teacher, and experienced lecturer, and have taught writing courses for The London School of Journalism and the Writer’s Bureau. I now write, and teach writing.
As a writing mentor, I can ensure that your work is in the best possible shape before you send it off to agents and publishers – or before you self-publish
